~Weet Wonk~
1. Conversation
Pete: Have you ever read anything by Jonathan Lethem?
Blade: Yes, you gave me that book by him.
Pete: Is that the same guy?
Blade: ??? um the same as what?
Apparently he had been having an email conversation with Slick and then he finished it with me.
2. Dreams
a. You know those little plastic things that connect a price tag to clothes? I had one of those going through the top part of my ear. I cut the end off and pulled it out. Gross.
b. I'm driving across the 520 bridge and the bridge opens and I go into the water. Scary.
c. Pete and I are in a flying saucer. There are no seats or seatbelts; we have to sit on the carpeted floor and hold onto leather straps in the floor (similar to the kind on a subway or bus). At first this seems to be a commerical flight but then as we're flying the government comes out. We take off and land 2 times without leaving the Earth's atmosphere. The third time we take off and go into outer space. Our legs are floating around while we hold on to the straps. Then the government says, watch this, and they start blowing up parts of Earth.
d. I saw someone I know's butt and they had nipples on their butt cheeks, their butt looked like boobs! [This one really freaks me out and disturbed me for days because the image wouldn't go away. It was haunting me. I still think it is really messed up! And no, I'm not going to tell you who it was!]
e. I'm the age I am now. I realize that I forgot to check the schedule for Baskin-Robbins and that I'm probably missing my shift. I go in and all of the people are new and young. All the flavors are different and in different spots and the cones are in different spots, everything is weird. [I worked at Baskin-Robbins all through high school and part of college.]
3. A Bald Eagle
I saw a bald eagle sitting on top of a streetlight when I was driving across the lake.
4. Hello
I said bonjour to a French person at work!
5. Spring
The cherry blossoms are blooming on our street.
6. Bangs
Since I got my haircut, people at work don't recognize me. Literally. When I see someone I know in the hall, I make eye contact and then they look away. Then I say Hi and they do a double take and they're like oh hi!
It's possible that these people don't want to talk to me so they pretend not to know me. But it's been everyone, coinciding with the haircut, and I would think it would be more random if someone just didn't want to say hi.

4 Comments:
are you sure you're not saying bonjour to everyone? that could confuse people too.
Also, did you blush a lot after saying bonjour?
Did you run quickly or slam the door in their face?
I wish that bloggy here would let me add a picture because i would like to draw you one of some butt boobs, so you can tell me whether or not I'm picturing them correctly.
OMG, was it WANDA? Did you imaging that Wanda had butt boobs?
IT WAS SOOO WANDA!!!
Your homecoming date has butt boobs!
Oh my god!
2-a: Those plastic things are called “Tach-its”.
6: It’s totally the bangs! I almost didn’t recognize you and I was looking for you since I was meeting you for lunch!
I'd like to leave a comment, but I don't want to talk to you.. Oh, hi!
I'm so jealous that you have flowers blooming!
