Well...

So the other day I was at a new parents' discussion group. I met a lady and her baby and when I introduced myself and Margo she said, "Oh a son!" and I said, "No this is Margo." And she said "Oh I'm not familiar with that name." She seemed to be from another country originally - she had an accent, anyway. So I guess it's just a thing where not everyone has heard the name Margo. So now I don't feel so weird, because it makes sense. I think the cashier from a couple weeks ago was maybe from another country too.

I hope this doesn't start a lifetime of confusion for poor Margo when she introduces herself. That's crazy!

Hmmm...still seems a little strange to me. Maybe people think you're saying Marco with a 'c'?

But if it's people from other countries, that makes a lot more sense. I had a job where I read a lot of Indian names and I often wasn't sure which was the husband and which the wife.

Your little niece, 'Jamison', is often mistaken for a boy at the dr's office or at camp or other activities. Then they see her and realize she's a girl. It mostly happens when her formal name is used, as opposed to 'Jamie'. I'm guessing that as Margo gets older people won't make that mistake. It is odd to me that people haven't heard that name!

P.S. Last summer at camp they had her in the boys cabin! Until we showed up and they realized...
I did check 'F' when I sent in her forms!
