EJ! EJ!
So many of you have contacted me privately to ask "Bladio, what songs do you hope Elton will play on Sept. 23?" that I have decided to post the list publicly.
I hope he plays

-- All the Girls Love Alice
-- Tiny Dancer
-- Rocket Man
-- Daniel
-- Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters
-- NikitaI'm Still Standing
-- Little Jeannie
-- Sad Songs (Say So Much)
-- I Don't Wanna Go On with You Like That
-- I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues
Songs I hope he doesn't play
(again not inclusive and not in any order):
-- Crocodile Rock
-- Candle in the Wind
-- Honky Cat
-- Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting
-- The Bitch is Back
-- Island Girl

I have mixed feelings about the following
(ahem - again not inclusive and not in any order blah blah blah):

-- Sweet Painted Lady
-- Gray Seal
Whew! I hope that satisfies all you-all's curiosity.
Which Elton songs do you love or hate?

I don't know that much Elton John, just the most famous ones. All the most famous ones on your hope he plays them list, I like them a lot. I'm afraid that I also have a soft spot for Candle in the Wind. I know that this makes me cheesy. But I was already cheesy.
Brian always sang "Daniel, my broiler..." whenever we'd drive past Daniel's Broiler, so that's rooted in my brain as the lyric.
Whne we were kids, Jen and I used to sing these lyrics to Buh buh buh Bennie and the Jets...
"She's got electric BOOBS, a mohair suit, you know I read it in a maga-zaeeeeeen"
Oh, we thought that was so hilarious.
Oh, I am so excited for you--it is going to be soooo good! I wish I could be with you. Drew saw EJ in Las Vegas when he went for his 21st birthday. On my 21st birthday we gambled all day from early breakfast until 2a.m. each night--it felt like my parents were putting a whole pack of cigarettes in my mouth at once to teach me a lesson. I haven't been back. I guess they learned something since D got EJ.
I saw EJ on INside the Actors Studio and he played most of your hope he doesn't play list. So hopefully it is out of his system.
Btw momster--Watie laughed REALLY hard at your version--he says he likes it best.
