Omaha
I'm in Omaha. It's nice here. Driving around here is much easier than in Seattle. The drivers seem less stressed, there's less traffic, and when you get where you're going, there's plenty of free parking.
I drove past my childhood home this morning. Whoever lives there now have done some weird things to it. For example, rip out some cool bushes we had. I lived in that house for 18 years. I wonder if I'll ever live in one domicile longer than that?
My old Baskin-Robbins, where I worked for like, 6 years or something (all through high school and summer & breaks during college) has been RAZED. Like, when you say something's "gone" a lot of times you mean it has moved or closed, and the space is available or filled by a new tenant. But no. This is literally razed. Torn down to the ground into a pile of rubble. It was a big shock. My favorite parking space is still there though, I wonder if that will survive.
We will be seeing kww and family tonight. I always like visiting Omaha but being able to see kww et al now is a huge bonus.

Super big bonus for us!!!! I am so glad you are here, can't wait for tomorrow!
Did you park in your favorite parking space, for old time's sake? You never know if you'll get another chance...
In addition to your old Baskin-Robbins biting the dust, sadly Mr. Robbins himself has taken a dirt nap: http://www.kirotv.com/money/16178203/detail.html
My usual response to visiting the town where I grew up is to sacrifice a redneck in thanks to the gods that I no longer live there.
